"One of the grandest moments is right here at Wanakarn. Fronting our Twin Waters Restaurant is a large terrace with panoramic views of the ocean and the sandbank separating it from the river running gently 20 meters from the terrace. Covered by horizontally spanned sails giving shade from the hot sun the terrace is furnished with oversized rocking chairs. With a glass of your favorite cocktail in hand, sink in to the generously stuffed pillows and let yourself drift away while waiting for the sunset. Having waited for that very special moment to occur, you will be awarded with a spectacular TWIN sunset… the sandbank is low enough and the river wide enough to reflect the sparkling sunset in both the ocean and the river and it is truly a fantastic sight and really a moment of celebration."
“After spending a marvelous day on the white powdered sandy beach, graced by gentle rolling waves, one of the favourite ways to spend a late afternoon is to paddle up the river to observe the flora and wildlife. The river is narrow in its turns. Bamboo drifts along in the water. Birds of all colours curiously tilt their heads. A group of water buffalo splash into the water for a cooling bath. Geckos and monitors rest lazily on shaded river banks. It makes you appreciate the moment and everything around you — an incredible experience.”
