Originally built for 19th-century nobility, Mirador de Dalt Vila offers panoramic views of Ibiza and the Mediterranean. The sea’s ecosystem is something its owners and chef play their part in protecting, by supporting the preservation of Posidonia, a native aquatic flowering plant.
Working with local restaurants, shops, fishermen and institutions, Mirador de Dalt Vila is an active participant in the "Ibiza es Posidonia" event. The aim is to raise awareness among islanders and tourists of the environmental value of this plant, whose vast underwater meadows provide vitally important ecosystems. The hotel draws on its privileged connections with tourists to make them aware of the threat to the species through dishes created especially for the occasion and information sheets inserted into the pages of its menus.
