County Kerry is known for its diverse landscapes, with moors, lagoons, and coastline dotted with islands and beaches. It is inconceivable to visit this region without travelling around the Ring of Kerry, the famous coastal road. Stray from the beaten path and explore the Iveragh Peninsula via a secret route. Leave Kenmare in the direction of Glencar's Ballaghbeama Pass, then follow the road through the mountains towards Ballaghisheen Pass. The outlooks here are magical. Continue southward and board the ferry for Valentia Island. If your heart so desires, walk to the top of Bray Head. You'll be rewarded with uninterrupted views across Dingle and Kenmare Bay, as well as the Blasket and Skellig Islands. Back on the mainland, follow the Wild Atlantic Way towards the south and enjoy a cocktail in the Boathouse at Dromquinna Manor before returning to Kenmare.
