On the serenity of a green hill, in front of the crystal clear waters of the Aegean, we have chosen to create an open-air restaurant area unlike any other. Inspired by the view of Holy Mount Athos right across, our artisan Executive Chef Panos Papadopoulos has drawn the philosophy of his menu. Being a native of Naousa, a small city in Nothern Greece, famous for its wines and high quality of agricultural production, Panos has grown up with authentic flavors and farm-to-table ingredients.

Avaton Luxury Hotel & Villas works closely with Arcturos, one of the largest and best-known NGOs in Greece. The charity as a rescue project for bears being exploited by circuses and zoos, and now safeguards twelve native species within their natural habitats in Northern Greece.
Avaton Luxury Hotel & Villas responded enthusiastically to an approach for help by the charity, which has led to a successful partnership—the only one of its kind in the country—and the emergence of an entirely new species: the Avatonian Teddy! This big, cuddly, soft toy has been observed climbing onto young visitors’ beds just before they arrive, with a note that says, “You could save a bear by taking me home!” The program has proved a huge hit with the hotel’s guests; 60% of them are won over by the toy’s charm, which, in turn, helps provide continued funding for Arcturos’s essential work.
