Unique in the world: The Saint-James occupies buildings designed in 1989 by the famous architect Jean Nouvel.
Located in Bouliac, a small village overlooking Bordeaux, the Saint-James was the first hotel designed by Jean Nouvel (2008 winner of the Pritzker Architecture Prize). Inspired by the traditional tobacco-drying sheds of his native region, the renowned architect designed four buildings enclosed in tawny metal trellises. The eighteen sunny rooms all offer unobstructed views over the city of Bordeaux and the surrounding countryside. Our restaurants are the ideal way to discover how regional products can become flavourful dishes. The Saint-James cookery school reveals all the secrets of French cuisine and world cuisine as well. The second restaurant, Café de l’Espérance, offers a gourmet selection including meats grilled over an open fire and irresistible pastries. The Saint-James is an authentic destination that offers you a unique experience.
