Our commitments

Surrounded by tea plants that are several centuries old, on the ancient Tea Horse Road that linked Yunnan with Tibet, the Brilliant Resort campaigns to protect one of the birthplaces of tea and supports the local population.

The heart of the Jingmai Mountains beats to the drum of tradition for its many ethnic minorities. To help preserve their know-how and fight rural erosion, the Brilliant Resort renovates the villages, scattered in the mountains, and promotes sustainable tourism. As an example they are restoring the millennial town of Tengchong and highlighting local, ancestral crafts such as calligraphy, paper making, spinning and embroider and have also established the Tea Horse Road Museum. So it creates local jobs at the same time. The property also grows its own organic tea and is committed to protecting biodiversity.
