Elephants, buffalos, cheetahs, leopards, wild dogs, giraffes and antelopes are the main guests at this 350,000 acre private reserve. Nor is it uncommon to happen upon a hippopotamus-killing Selinda lion: the region is renowned for the opportunities it offers to observe predators, and indeed the 300 species of bird to which it is home. The camp, which overlooks the Zibadianja Lagoon, at the source of the Savute Channel, was created by two enthusiasts, renowned National Geographic photographers and documentary producers, who wanted to protect this wilderness while also wishing to share it with others. It is designed with the environment in mind, with large, magnificently-appointed tents, the traditional style of which is reminiscent of the very first safaris.
