Relais & Châteaux offers innovative services for its member hotels and restaurants
Paris, 29 January 2007 - In order to anticipate market trends and to ensure the competitiveness of its member properties, Relais & Châteaux widens the scope of its services.
Innovation and research
A research, development and innovation department has been set up to provide member properties with the necessary background and studies for their decision-making as well as with insights into major professional developments in the upscale hotel and restaurant industry.
Human Resources
With regard to Human Resources, the Association members can now access an internal and external online recruitment system.
The internal training unit co-operates with hotel management schools to propose "tailor-made" programmes for the owners, general managers and staff of Relais & Châteaux.
Online sales
Relais & Châteaux creates increasing traffic for its members through its website www.relaischateaux.com. It generates direct reservations and also links the corporate website to the individual site of each property (+33% at the end of 2006)
Communication
New communication tools and aids like the "Resources Manual", dedicated sections on the extranet of the Association as well as individual scorings help to evaluate and improve the performance of each property.
Within the framework of its international development and the optimisation of its communications, Relais & Châteaux has created an international press club.
New Membership Resources Directorate
All the services and functions proposed will be easily accessible for member properties around the world thanks to an innovative department dedicated to membership services, the new Resources Directorate.
This new department will be headed and driven by Alexis Lalo who will join Relais & Châteaux in March 2007. Alexis Lalo, aged 40, has been with Potel & Chabot since 1990 where he assumed various functions. With this famous organiser of upscale receptions, the European leader in its segment, he was director of logistics and maintenance and after that director general for Russia.
