Relais & Châteaux - The 2007 Collection

The 2007 collection boasts 21 new charming addresses.

The Relais & Châteaux Guide 2007 welcomes 21 new Relais & Châteaux and Relais Gourmands members and further extends its worldwide presence. The Guide 2007 is characterised by the pursuit of the globalisation of Relais & Châteaux and the development of Relais Gourmands.

- Europe continues to be the main development region with 13 new properties in Austria, Belgium, France, Greece, Italy and Turkey. In 2007, Relais & Châteaux boasts a total of 326 charming addresses in Europe. Whether Kitzbühel or Antwerp, Taormina or Mykonos, Florence or Cap d’Antibes... new prestigious properties have joined Relais & Châteaux.
- In Turkey, a second hotel has joined the Association.
- In the United States, the arrival of “Les Mars Hotel” in Healdsburg in California takes the number of Relais & Châteaux on the North American continent to 57.
- In Asia, Relais & Châteaux already has 17 member hotels. After the opening of the Relais Gourmand Sens & Bund in Shanghai in 2006, the Association is continuing to strengthen its presence in China with its first hotel “Hotel Modern Art Homa” in Guilin and a second Relais Gourmand “Family Li Imperial Cuisine” in Shanghai.
- And, last but not least, Africa where Relais & Châteaux has added a new destination to its hotel network in Tanzania, “Singita Grumeti Reserves” in Serengeti. It enhances its array of 20 properties in southern Africa with the arrival of a new member property “Marataba” in Limpopo.

In 2007, Relais Gourmands, the international culinary benchmark, welcomes 5 new members:
- in Austria the “Mörwald Kloster Und” in Krems,
- in France “L’Auberge de l’Ile” in Lyon and “Le Château de Beaulieu” in Busnes which is a Relais Gourmand with rooms,
- in Italy “Il Rigoletto Ristaurante” in Reggiolo,
- and, last but not least, in China “Family Li Imperial Cuisine” in Shanghai.

Furthermore, 4 Relais & Châteaux have been awarded the Relais Gourmands label:
- in France “L’Hostellerie de Plaisance” in Saint Emilion,
- in Austria “Hanner” in Mayerling and the “Palais Coburg Hotel Residenz” in Vienna.
- in Italy “Da Vittorio” in Brusaporto.

Furthermore, the Relais Gourmand l’Arnsbourg has enhanced its offering and become a Relais & Châteaux - Relais Gourmand under its new name “L’Arnsbourg - Hôtel K” in Baerenthal.

The new addresses round off the Association’s various locations. They all easily combine luxury, calm, hospitality and fine dining.
