The world’s greatest chefs rally in support of poultry breeders

For the first time, the world’s two most prestigious associations of master chefs “Relais Gourmands” and “Traditions & Qualité - Les Grandes Tables du Monde” have decided to rally in support of a common cause.

Given that our producers are part of the cultural heritage and traditions of our respective countries and that they fight every day to defend quality by providing us with the best of their products, it is indispensable that we give them our support when we believe this to be necessary.

Bird flu is currently the focus of polemical debates and has resulted in a totally unjustified decline in the consumption of poultry. This has placed poultry breeders in a difficult if not critical situation. However, there is currently no health risk and eating poultry products does not constitute any danger whatsoever.

Consequently, all the members of “Relais Gourmands” and “Traditions & Qualité - Les Grandes Tables du Monde” undertake to maintain and enhance the presence of these products on their restaurant menus and to speak up for the breeders vis-à-vis their guests, the media and the public authorities in order to get a clear, positive and reassuring message across to consumers.
