On a former vineyard, the oldest building in Copenhagen, which was built more than a thousand years ago, lends its medieval charm to the Kong Hans Kælder restaurant. It is in a subterranean space full of mystery, with vaulted cellars in gothic style, that you will sample the delicacies of chef Thomas Rode Andersen. His food is fresh and simple, somewhere between French and Danish cuisine - lobster with ginger, garlic and soya, Oléron oysters with horseradish and cucumbers… And best of all is the fact that you can watch the chef and his team at work through a window of the dining room.
