Christmas Four Night Stay

Relax in a comfortable armchair next to our roaring fires with a glass of homemade mulled wine, or enjoy a bracing stroll along the North Teign River which runs through the grounds. On Christmas Day enjoy a traditional menu with all the trimmings, specially created by our Executive Head Chef Michael Caines MBE. What better place to celebrate the festive season?



We have invited the Singers from Chagford to join us for carols, mince pies and mulled wine for the afternoon of 23 December and on Christmas Eve we have arranged for a wine tasting in the drawing room with our Head Sommelier. After a leisurely breakfast on Boxing Day enjoy a two-hour guided walk with Phil Page who was the NCC/English Nature Site Manager on Dartmoor for over twenty years. Michael will be creating seasonal menus for you to enjoy throughout your stay, with two specially extended menus for Christmas Day and Boxing Day.



The rates are daily rates for double occupancy, based on a minimum stay of four nights and include; dinner, morning tea or coffee in your room, cooked or continental breakfast, wine tasting, carol singing, guided walk. Rates include Government tax with service being left to guest’s discretion.



We require a 50% deposit, for Christmas Stays. If your reservation is cancelled before 1st December 2012 your deposit would be refunded. If your reservation is cancelled after 1st December 2012 we will have to charge fully for lost business if the room is not relet. This is a substantial liability and we recommend that it be covered by holiday insurance
