Hotel and restaurant on the seafront (Westerland/Sylt) In northern Germany, the Island of Sylt rises up out of the North Sea. The largest of the Frisian Islands is connected to the mainland by the Hindenburgdamm Causeway. In Westerland, the most well-known seaside resort in the heart of Sylt, stay in a fine, 19th century country house of immense charm with English furniture, romantic rooms, an exquisite spa and delicious local cuisine. Behind its classical sandstone townhouse façade, Grand Chef Thomas Bühner and Maîtresse de Maison Thayarni Kanagaratnam wait to greet you in warmly decorated surroundings adorned with fine wood and contemporary works of art. In this “Mecca for gourmets”, Thomas Bühner works to create what is his signature cuisine: three-dimensional, avant-garde and aromatic. He seeks out the pure, intense flavours of the ingredients he chooses to showcase and takes time to cook them at low temperatures.
