Restaurant of a Grand Chef Relais & Châteaux and hotel in the country (Mayerling) This lovingly refurbished hotel, dating back to the 1930's, is located just half an hour from the capital, in the picturesque Vienna Woods. The architecture, featuring stone, glass and local wood, offers the space and tranquility for dreams and reflection or to simply admire the objets d’art carefully chosen by Heinz Hanner, the owner and Grand Chef. This lover of contemporary art produces avant-garde cuisine. His duck foie gras with beetroot is sublime and the décor of the rooms is just as modern as the cuisine.

Restaurant of a Grand Chef Relais & Châteaux and hotel in the country (Schützen/Gebirge) On crossing the threshold of Taubenkobel, it is clear that its owners have created a unique atmosphere, a cosmopolitan haven in a Burgenland village. This charming 19th century vintner’s house is dedicated not only to well-being but also to the appreciation of art and the surrounding nature. Add to this the remarkable cuisine of Grand Chef Walter Eselböck who masterfully crafts local produce into sophisticated creations. Eveline Eselböck will enchant you with her selection of wines, her favourites are from the producers dear to her heart, from the Southern Tyrol or the Loire.
