Sydney Opera House inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List!

UNESCO recently unveiled the latest additions to its World Heritage List and has chosen to include the Sydney Opera House amongst its prestigious sites!

“Inaugurated in 1973, the Sydney Opera House is listed as a great architectural work of the 20th century.”

By inscribing the Sydney Opera House on the World Heritage List, UNESCO recognises a monument that has become one of the most famous landmarks in the world. Its exceptional location and architecture have inspired a whole new generation of architects. In the space of just 30 years, the Opera House has become a “must see” site, a monument to visit at least once in your lifetime, in other words, it is one of the cornerstones of world culture.
