This Danish town on a peninsula in the Baltic Sea is like a fairytale. This is not surprising because Odense is where Hans Christian Andersen was born (you can visit his house in which his manuscripts and drawings are on display). The Andersen quarter in the town centre is mae up of cobblestones and semi-timbered houses. The Saint-Knuds cathedral, art and photo museums as well as the town hall are attractions you simply have to see.
