French Alps

Mont-Blanc

Mont-Blanc, the highest peak in Western Europe (approx. 4807 metres), rises up from a massif which also bears its name, and is located between Mont Maudit and the Dôme du Goûter, equidistant from France, Italy and Switzerland. To get there, you take the cable car or the train to the north face which overlooks its stunning sea of ice.

If you feel up to it you can explore the area by foot. The highlight is, of course, the ascent to the summit of Mont-Blanc, a challenge reserved for only the most experienced.
