Gardena Valley


An enclosed valley in the Dolomites in the north of Italy, the Gardena Valley attracts thousands of tourists every year thanks to its superb landscapes, traditional villages and very high-quality ski runs where the world cup skiing championships are held every year. From the high plateaux of Alpe di Sius, visitors can follow a number of hiking trails in wild surroundings. From village to village, wood-carving is still perpetuated and sculpture a regional art form.
