Valley of Marvels - Casterino


Over 36,000 prehistoric rock engravings are dotted around in this valley surrounded by wild mountains. There are exceptional panoramic views and excursions are organised on foot or in 4x4s. Casterino is a small hamlet perched at a height of 1550 metres, surrounded by Mounts St Marie, Chajoi and Agnelet (2201m.), it gives onto the gateway to the Mercantour Natural Park.
