Somme Valley, Amiens & Abbeville

The Somme Valley became famous for the battle that took place there during the First World War. It takes its name from the large river which, with its many twists and turns, made hundreds of lakes along its course.

From Amiens (birthplace of Jules Vernes with the world’s largest Gothic cathedral) to Abbeville (Collegiate Church of St-Vulfran), the valley has preserved its natural environment and kept an undeniable charm.
