Lourdes, the city of miracles where the Virgin Mary appeared to Bernadette Soubirous, is marked by spirituality and hope. It is a major pilgrimage venue and the town has numerous religious buildings (such as the basilica and Church of the Sacred Heart) as well as many museums devoted to religious aspects. The castle dominating the town is extremely beautiful.
