In Corrèze, the ultimate in green countryside, Brive-la-Gaillarde is the pivot of a community of small villages with a unique charm. It contains a wealth of captivating buildings such as St-Martin’s collegiate church and the Hôtel de Labenche.
To the south, Collonges-la-Rouge takes its name from the red sandstone used for the buildings (the Castel de Vassinhac in particular).
Turenne still has the vestiges of a feudal castle - one of its overlords was the famous Marshall of the same name under Louis XIV.
