Grande Roche features big in Conde Nast’s Traveler Awards

America’s leading magazine Conde Nast Traveler, awarded Paarl’s Grande Roche hotel the 2nd best resort in Africa and best travel experience in the South African Winelands. In the Best of the Best Top 100 ranking for 2008, Grande Roche achieved 8th position in the world and is the reader’s choice as the best hotel resort in South Africa!

Jens Kozany, deputy general manager of Grande Roche Hotel attended the 21st Conde Nast Traveler Awards glittering ceremony in New York City, USA. It was held in the historic New York Public Library.

In the survey conducted annually by Conde Nast Traveler among its 32 633 readers they rated and ranked their travel experiences world-wide and Grande Roche scored 96.9 points.

This is the second time that this Relais & Chateaux hotel has been rated highly by Conde Nast’s readers’ survey – in 2005 it came third in the line-up of the Top 10 Hotels of Africa and Middle East.

Grande Roche’s Bosman’s Restaurant and wine lists boast an array of awards received over the years, the latest being the 2008 Wine Spectator’s “Best of Award of Excellence” – the only restaurant in South Africa to be honoured in this way.
