Cape of Good Hope


The south-western point of South Africa seems to divide the waters between the Indian and Atlantic Oceans. A mythical place for explorers, it was conquered for the first time in the 15th century by the legendary Vasco de Gama. Nowadays, the Cape of Good Hope is part of Cape Point peninsula, a large strip of coastline in a superb nature reserve. Dominating the site is the famous Table Mountain, its flat summit offering an exceptional panoramic view of the region.
