Addo Elephant National Park

In the Bushveld Valley with the Sunday River running through it to the eastern cape of South Africa, the Addo has earned its reputation and name from its most prestigious resident: the elephant. With up to 350 members of this endangered species, the park can be qualified as a veritable sanctuary.

The elephant is not the only animal in this flourishing region: from Alexandria forest to the islands off the coast, Lake Darlington and Woody Cape, buffaloes, antelopes and many species of birds can be seen.
