Set on a rocky overhang with the Eresma and Clamores rivers running below, Segovia captivates the imagination of visitors by its three exceptional monuments: the aqueduct, the Alcazar and the cathedral. The city itself is not devoid of charm but is eclipsed by the majesty of the 2000-year-old Roman aqueduct with its superbly conserved double row of arches.

The cathedral, built under Charles the Fifth, is in spectacular late Gothic style and the imposing Alcazar fortress dominates the city offering a splendid panoramic view of the valley.
