Le Lavandou and Iles d’Hyères
Le Lavandou stretches for 12 km along the coastline of the South of France. It has a mild climate and a walk along the coast amid pines, mimosas and palm trees, leads through flower-decked villages to beaches and rocky inlets. Boats leave Le Lavandou harbour for the three Hyères islands. Colonised first by monks and then by pirates, these islands with protected landscapes have their own inimitable charm. The Ile du Levant is a privileged site for Naturism. Porquerolles, the largest island of the atoll, is a succession of beaches and cliffs with sloping vineyards and forestland in the centre. Finally, the wild and mountainous Port-Cros is a popular venue for hikers who enjoy walking in the heart of nature.
